Quote of the Day!

Hey Loves!

It's been a little while since my last post, I know, but I wanted to kick the week off right by providing you all with a little Monday motivation.

This week is all about walking the talk, meaning do what you say you're going to do and do it well.

This motivated me to become more active in my community. I wanted to find ways to give to those less fortunate than myself because i've always believed that to receive abundantly, one must give abundantly. So this past weekend, I had the pleasure of helping a local charity give school supplies to less fortunate children in my community. I am an avid shopper so any reason to go shopping, no matter what cause, was an exciting feat for me. With the help of some friends and family, we were able to give hundreds of supplies to the charity and plan to give even more this week. The best part is that we're having fun doing it.

So how will YOU walk the talk this week?

Get up, get out and make a difference in someone else's life this week and I promise it'll make an even greater difference in your own life. Giving is Chic!

So Stay Chic Divas!

Quote of the Day!

" Too many people postpone their happiness waiting for a future goal to manifest." - Ilya Alexi

I love reading books that provide inspiration or motivation when I need it most. And lately, I've been reading a book called " Mind Over Money: How to program your mind for wealth." It basically is a book about the law of attraction and we can attract wealth into our life just by changing how we think and go about things in our daily lives. This quote really hit home for me personally because as a "goal-getter", I set many goals I'd like to achieve and quite often have placed my happiness on achieving a future goal. I am the first person to be guilty of saying "when I get this, I will....." versus living in the moment and appreciating what I already have and the goals that I have already accomplished. It is wonderful to have goals and a want to attain them, however, it shouldn't be at the expense of enjoying the here and now. That doesn't mean don't set goals or plan for the future, it just means live in the moment. Take the time to enjoy life's simple pleasures, like smelling fresh flowers in bloom or walking barefoot on the beach watching the waves hit the rocks. Kiss your child or your spouse and enjoy being in the presence of family. Everything else, the stress of work, of bills or whatever it may be will be there tomorrow. Live in today!

Hopefully this quote inspires you as much as it has myself and provokes you to enjoy the present. Happy Monday!

The book, by the way, can be purchased on Amazon.com. It actually is a free book if you have a Kindle. Make sure you check it out!

Monday Motivation!

Hi Dolls!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I've been meaning to post this quote for a week now because it is parallel to what I've been struggling with recently. I have so many high hopes for my business and blog that sometimes I feel my hard work isn't showing the results I'd hope for. I am very grateful for the things that I have accomplished thus far and I take this platform very serious, but at times it is more than disheartening to not see my vision come to life after months of hard work. I am always told that all things will be what they will be in due time, it's not something I often want to hear, but it is something I need to hear to remember to keep going. If you've been working hard towards a goal, but feel like your not getting the results you wish, trust that what you want to achieve will come to you at the right time. Continue to work hard and remember to Keep the faith!

Quote of the Day!

Happy Monday!

How was everyone's weekend? I had a few events to attend this past weekend so the weekend definitely went by wayyy too fast for my liking. I'm not complaining, i'm blessed and I understand that fact, but a little downtime for rest and relaxation would've been greatly appreciated. However, it is Monday already and the show must go on so with that said, here's a little Monday motivation to get everyone through another work week successfully.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit." -Aristotle

I love this quote because it's very true. We are what we continuously do each day. Many people want change in their life, but don't take the steps to make things different. Some of you may have weight goals you haven't achieved yet, but don't workout regularly or at all. You may dislike your job, but won't apply for another job that makes you happy or try to acquire the skills you need to get a higher position out of fear or complacency. I've been there, some days I am there. But don't feel stuck in your situation, whatever it may be, it can be changed by simply choosing to make what you want in your life a habit. Make today the day you start your new habit of excellence.

Now get up, get dressed and be EXCELLENT today!

Stay fabulous, loves.

xoxo,
