One Dress, Two Looks!

The number one fashion dilemma most women have is being able to remix their wardrobe. If you're like me, one who lives on a budget, it's important to mix and match pieces you already own and try to make them look like a totally new outfit. Accessories are the best and simplest way to achieve a different look without having to spend a ton of money.
Take the outfit below for example, one A-line dress, paired with different accessories takes this look from work chic to a night out just by changing a few pieces: the shoes, jewelry, the handbag and the belt. So what do you think? Easy, right?!  It doesn't have to be a daunting task and you can make it fun by playing with colors and textures to make each look your own.

Top 10 Summer Essentials

Summer is right around the corner and there are some definite must-haves every fashionista should have close by for those hot summer days.

1. Sunscreen: Its an absolute must-have if your in the sun. It doesn't matter how fair or dark your skin tone is, using sunscreen can help protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays. I recommend using at least an SPF-15 or higher, depending on how sensitive your skin is to burning.

Versace Look for Less

Who is a Kim Kardashian fan? Anyone?!........Well no matter how you feel about her, one thing that is undeniable is her personal style. She definitely has a closet full of designers any fashionista, including myself, would love to have, from labels like Fendi to Hermes.

Earlier today via Kim K's twitter, she tweeted photos of herself at Radio One Studios in London wearing a fabulous studded top and a white pencil skirt. I was so happy to see her rocking this outfit because I posted a similar studded top to the one she's wearing a few days ago under my 'Pretty Pastels' post. The top she's wearing is from Versace's Spring 2012 runway collection, it doesn't appear to be available to the public, but you can snag a similar look at Topshop for way less than the designer piece.

Stylist Pick!

Designer Spotlight: Brittany Deshields

Brittany Deshields

I'm always looking for new up and coming designers that take a new approach to everyday wear. I love unique pieces that make me feel sexy and accentuate my curves, but I also like things that still leave a little to the imagination.

Recently, I came across a clothing designer named Brittany Deshields, who is also a self-taught seamstress from Philadelphia. Her style is very Rihanna-esque, with form-fitting body conscious designs that have strategically placed sheer paneling. After buying my first piece from her line a few months ago, I have been following her designs and I am a total fan! I love every piece!

Here's a few of her pieces:

Met Gala 2012

I absolutely love watching celebrities get dressed up! Don't you?! What better way to see your favorite celeb decked out in latest couture than at the famed annual Met Gala Costume Ball. This year, the celebs didn't disappoint! My fav of the night was Jessica Alba. She wore a one-shouldered gold emperor waist Michael Kors gown with beautifully coiffed hair to match. One word: Aaaamazing!!! Who were your favs?

Below are a few other standouts: Solange Knowles in Rachel Roy, Kristen Bell in Tommy Hilfiger, Hilary Swank in Michael Kors and January Jones in Versace.
