Summer Dress Guide

SUMMER DRESS GUIDE
Earlier in the month, I featured essential items to get you through the summer, but what happens when you have a party or function to attend after you've been a beach bum all day? Well, look no further, here is my summer dress style guide to looking stylish at any summer soiree.

1. The Maxi: It's quick, it's simple, and it's totally chic! Pick one in your favorite color or print, add cute wedges or strappy sandals, chunky jewelry and you're out the door. Wear a maxi to a back yard barbecue or just a get-together with friends. It's definitely a summer staple and must-have summer dress that comes back in style year after year.

2. Hi-Lo Dress: This is totally an on-trend item so I would recommend purchasing one in a solid color, preferably, bright, like a mint green, pink or yellow. It can be worn to a birthday party or an outside summer wedding or even to the beach as a chic cover-up, all by changing a few accessories. If you're on a budget like myself, you probably can't afford to re-do your entire wardrobe for summer, but adding a few key pieces like the hi-lo hem dress can make all the difference and enhance your summer style by giving you an updated look that is versatile and trendy.

3. The Tube Dress: The tube dress like the one (pictured) above is a great summer dress that can be taken from season to season and from day to night. A ruched dress is also figure flattering for most body types because it camouflages the midsection. Just a blazer and pumps to make it work day appropriate or add chandelier earrings and strappy sandals and you're ready for a night out on the town.

4. The Sundress: Nothing says girly like a cute, flirty sundress! An A-line sundress is the most universally figure flattering. Choose a sundress in your favorite girly print like floral. Or take it more trendy with a tribal pattern or bold color. Either way, this dress is way versatile and can be worn to any summer event for an instant chic look.

So I want to know...........What are your favorite summer dresses? Is there a dress that you love that I didn't name here? I'm always curious to hear feedback. Share your thoughts below.
